Chasms
Chasms appear similarly to rivers, although unseeable on the Local/Region/World maps. They are similar to the DFv0.23 chasms except that they are not guaranteed, seem to use the same river-generation code for the fortress map (a "chasm tributary" has been observed), and occupy all z-depths.
Possibly the only thing to create Extreme Cliffs (20+) if observed on the Local Map.
Uses?
Build floor, put excess stone on it, sever floor from wall. Watch stone disapear.
Garbage dump? Does it spawn monsters from below?
