The sub-pages for various sub-types of crafts (crowns, rings, etc.) were mostly redundant, and contained some incorrect information (for example, they implied that scepters had a higher value than mugs, and that amulets could not normally be made from cloth - neither of which is true). I have moved everything from those pages onto this one and replaced them all with redirects to here. I considered doing the same with the instrument and toy pages, but I'm not sure how much we want to cram onto one page. --LaVacaMorada 08:21, 6 October 2009 (UTC) | The sub-pages for various sub-types of crafts (crowns, rings, etc.) were mostly redundant, and contained some incorrect information (for example, they implied that scepters had a higher value than mugs, and that amulets could not normally be made from cloth - neither of which is true). Added "The chance of multiple crafts being produced from one resource is increased with the craftsdwarve's skill." after noticing my legendary dwarves would almost always produce 3 while my prefix-less crafters usually produce 1. Moonman 13:14, 25 December 2007 (EST)
- Mugs, goblets, flasks, and waterskins are always produced in threes. I don't know offhand of any crafts that are produced in twos (except for right/left gloves, etc.) What did your legendary crafters produce three of?--Maximus 17:09, 25 December 2007 (EST)
- I think Moonman is right - at first my crafter made mostly single crafts (idols, scepters..) now he's legendary and makes 3 per stone. --Koltom 19:03, 8 March 2008 (EST)
tone down
I toned down the statement to the value of early crafts - cooked food is far more valuable and mechanisms have 3 times the base value. So, why make smth from stone that is defined as export just because its useless instead of making smth useful that can be traded just as fine. --Koltom 04:05, 14 February 2008 (EST)
expanded a bit
I tried to expand this article a bit. I also tried to make a distinction between general trade goods and the goods made from "make stone crafts."—Preceding unsigned comment added by Bouchart (talk•contribs)
Gem crafts
Only gem craft I ever had was some artifact. I don't cut many gems (tons of glass, but only few others). Does this mean that glass creates no crafts other than big glass gems or that gem crafts no longer exist in 38c? EDIT: I can confirm that green glass crafts can't be created by cutting raw glass. Normal gems still create crafts. --Someone-else 11:42, 24 May 2008 (EDT)
Removed comment about elves and bone crafts
I get the impression that it's a relatively new change, but the elves have no problem whatsoever with items made or decorated with bone. They just can't stand wood at this point (which probably explains the low fertility rates of those tree-huggers). -Fuzzy 09:35, 14 October 2008 (EDT)
Glass crafts
Is it even possible to make glass crafts? I've looked through the task list and while I can make toys and instruments out of glass, I don't see crafts in the list. --Quietust 22:09, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Strange how long this wrong info was in the wiki; same (or the other way round) for toys and instruments. Maybe it was different until a recent version.. --Höhlenschreck 22:59, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Consolidated redundant pages
The sub-pages for various sub-types of crafts (crowns, rings, etc.) were mostly redundant, and contained some incorrect information (for example, they implied that scepters had a higher value than mugs, and that amulets could not normally be made from cloth - neither of which is true). I have moved everything from those pages onto this one and replaced them all with redirects to here. I considered doing the same with the instrument and toy pages, but I'm not sure how much we want to cram onto one page. --LaVacaMorada 08:21, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- Since they're all directly related, I'd say go for it. mug too. These are all much of a muchness, filling the same function in the game. Maybe have them all redirect to a new umbrella article, Trade good, which is a term used in all these articles currently and covers them all nicely.--Albedo 09:02, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
