Walls?
Could you wall in a pool and thus contain the flies? Or can they fly over the walls? --Azaram 06:02, 10 December 2008 (EST)

How do we get rid of flies?
From what I can see Flies can neither be killed by Cats or trapped. So how do we get rid of them? – unsigned comment by Mission0

Not all Dwarves hate flies.
One of Dwarves started with "loves flies for their ability to annoy." I'm not sure how exactly to use this to my advantage...

Trade Depot protects food
I have random piles of meat and fish sitting in my Trade Depot; I've seen no flies and they seem to be unrotten.
I earlier deconstructed a trade depot and the food rotted quickly.
