Dormitories are a type of multiple-bed Template:L, similar to the Template:L. Instead of hosting the military, dormitories host civilians[Verify]. A dormitory is designated from a Template:L.
To create a dormitory, press q, highlight a bed, press r, then -/+ until you have the size you want. Then press d. The dormitory will automatically include every bed in the area you highlighted. Dwarves will sleep on the dormitory ground if there are no unoccupied beds.
