Blood metal is a special metal in Masterwork Dwarf Fortress that cannot be manufactured directly by dwarves. Items made of blood metal are described as being bloody, e.g. bloody warhammer of Armok.
Blood metal items, weapons and armour can be received when making offerings and sacrifices to Armok using the religion system and has a base material value almost as high as volcanic items. Bloody weapons and armour carry properties that fall between steel and mithril.
