Regarding time units[edit]
The times indicated are derived from the syndrome's tags and DF's time units. A time unit in Fortress mode is 1.2 minutes, or 72 seconds. The venom begins to have an effect at 5 time units - or 360 seconds - and "peaks" at 10 units - 720 seconds. Since the venom itself isn't fatal, but rather the afflicted ends up suffocating, it takes a bit longer for the subject to actually die - hence, I presume, the estimate of 1300 seconds.
It is valid to describe the syndrome's effects in seconds, although I agree that a comment about what this actually looks like in Fortress mode is warranted. Niveras (talk) 20:19, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
