I looked at the help pages for templates and categories, but I'm not sure what to do about this. I went ahead and made a category for Modification:Expanded Plants, since I expect to eventually have a bunch of plant pages corresponding to the vanilla plant pages & listing their differences. But I can't seem to include the box warning viewers that this is a mod-related page, without listing this page in the mod category; and same with the Plants box at the bottom of the page, which I like using for reference.
Is there a good way to include these boxes without spamming the supercategory pages with pages that belong in the Modification:Expanded Plants subcategory? --Button (talk) 22:29, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- I added a "cat" parameter to disable the auto-categorization on those templates; you can use {{mod|cat=nocat}} and {{plants|cat=nocat}}. If you want the modded plant pages to show up in a different category you'll need to include the category as well: [[Category:Foo]]. Note that the plant infobox template now adds a number of categories too (e.g. "Brewable", "Pressable", etc.); we'll probably need to create a separate version of that template to handle your modded plants correctly.--Loci (talk) 20:47, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
