There is no way to specify temperature at the moment is there? I've tried FREEZING and ANY_FREEZING but they give errors. Really what I want is for the start biome for my civ to be only in cold or freezing areas. --Paradigmlost 17:26, 15 March 2009 (UTC) | There is no way to specify temperature at the moment is there? − | :Better late than never! :D I would recommend using the [TUNDRA], [GLACIER], [FOREST_TAIGA], and/or [OCEAN_ARCTIC] tag(s), since those are, by definition, very cold/freezing. A quick test using GiMP to superimpose the detailed temperature map of my current world over the detailed biome map revealed that the areas with the lowest temperature coincided exactly with the tundras, glaciers, and taigas. --Mr Frog 08:06, 1 January 2010 (UTC) | + | :Better late than never! :D I would recommend using the [TUNDRA], [GLACIER], [FOREST_TAIGA], and/or [OCEAN_ARCTIC] tag(s), since those are, by definition, very cold/freezing. Just curious, how are hills handled? Are they considered mountains or what?--Jpwrunyan 04:22, 27 March 2009 (UTC) | Just curious, how are hills handled? Are they considered mountains or what?--Jpwrunyan 04:22, 27 March 2009 (UTC) |

I'm trying to determine which of these biomes are valid for entities - the following are known to be accepted without throwing an error (whether or not they actually work as advertised is untested).
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_WETLAND:1]
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_DESERT:1]
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_FOREST:2]
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_OCEAN:1]
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_LAKE:1]
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:MOUNTAIN:3]
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_GRASSLAND:1]
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_SAVANNA:1]
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_SHRUBLAND:1]
- [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_RIVER:1]
Not that the ANY_FOREST biome isn't even in the current list on the page. --Erom 14:38, 17 December 2008 (EST)
Alright, all other BIOMEs listed on the wiki work as entity BIOME_SUPPORT, although I would be surprised if some of them (like chasm or lava or pool) really worked. I have verified that it will not take an arbitrary value, indicating that ANY_FOREST is probably a real biome tag and should be included in the main list. --Erom 14:50, 17 December 2008 (EST)
Temperature
There is no way to specify temperature at the moment is there? I've tried FREEZING and ANY_FREEZING but they give errors. Really what I want is for the start biome for my civ to be only in cold or freezing areas. --Paradigmlost 17:26, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

hills?
