Looks like a collection of 1 bit flags to me.
- 1st bit: unwalkable construction?
- 2nd bit: walkable construction?
- 3rd bit: special walkable flag?
- 4th bit: standing creature
- 5th bit: creature on ground
- 6th bit: item
