Mechanics are dwarves with a high level of skill in the profession 'Mechanics'. A mechanic will construct Mechanic's Workshops, mechanisms and all other buildings that require mechanisms. They are also responsible for linking up objects to levers or pressure plates.
A high level in Mechanics lets a dwarf link up objects and construct mechanisms at a faster rate.
