Why pick these
- Dwarf 1 will be the leader and broker as well as a part time miner, this is mostly to get digging in faster
- Dwarf 2 will fill the manager role which doesn't take up much time.
- Dwarf 3 will handle the books, although this is time heavy it trains fast do counter that so hopefully doesn't impact his mining too much.
- Dwarf 4 is my mechanic, I intend this build to work in mountain areas so will need to build machines to far, also machinery is great. As mechanic is not a full time job he also has carpentry covered and will aid in mining
- Dwarf 5 the classic mason, also my primary architect, with a novice engrave tagged on cause someone needs to do it.
- Dwarf 6 is my farmer, I took herbalism just in case I run across anything but I expect him to be mostly engaged full time with the farms. I play with only farmers can harvest.
- Dwarf 7 is my meal ticket dwarf, not only literally but also because prepared food is worth more than an anvil to traders. I expect him to spend more time brewing but cooking roasts is slow so the primary skill.
Yes this is a 4 miner build, I would have never done this on the old version as picks cost 100 and that is a lot of skills. However in this version I've maxed out on skills already, I don't intend to take an anvil so that is another 1000 points and this allows me to dig down to water fast.
The two dwarves with wrestler skills are there mostly to allow drafting without complaint in case I need some early defence, coupled with high pick (and bronze picks at 60 each) skills they should prove tough enough. Also I think all bookkeepers should have combat skills just to kill the stereotype.
