40d:Material size
Revision as of 01:23, 25 August 2014 by 140.254.125.179 (talk) (Fuller description (applies also to DFs up to at least .34))
This article is about an older version of DF. |
Material size is a property of finished goods. It determines how many units of raw material are required to build or construct the finished good, and how many are recovered when it is melted (if possible).
The material size of many (but not all) kinds of objects can be seen in the files in \raw\objects.
Metal
- Material size <= 5 requires 1 metal bar
- Material size 6-8 requires 2 metal bars
- Material size 9-11 requires 3 metal bars
- The general formula is "metal bars used to create = 1/3rd MATERIAL_SIZE, rounded down, with a minimum of 1".
