Bloodline:Kelabras/Year 2
2nd Year in Kelabras by Adil Itebasmel
16th Granite 224
Spring is finally here and so is our brewery. We managed to brew some wine and prevent exposure to that dread from the pond. We started building a new level of the wall and once it's complete I'll draw a plan of the current state of the fort. I still can't forgive myself that I let two fellow dwarfs die. I can still see our mason cry in remembrance of her lost friends.
6th Slate 224
19 immigrants have arrived today as a great relief. We still miss a mechanic but someone will take over his job for sure. There is also a brewer and a farmer that will boost our alcohol production. A new smith has arrived, too. The others are not vital for our survival but will be very useful for trading and crafts so the mason and I can focus on expansion of the fort.
19th Malachite 224
There are still only 24 of us but the situation is stable now. With the new dwarfs around we're in abundance of food and alcohol. The cratfdwarves are working full time hoping that we will sell the goods to a caravan that is expected to arrive soon. We started building another level of our outer wall that is three stories high at it's highest point at this time. We want another level so our snipers will have combat advantage against enemies.
We also started digging our living quarters, kennels, and siege engine workshops. I also laid out some plans for exploratory mining in hope to find more gems that we could use. It might be time to start making glass soon.
23rd Limestone 224
Our butcher got very secretive and hid into a crafts workshop. He is probably working on some artifact and I'm very excited to see what will he make. Meanwhile a caravan arrived and we started moving goods for trading.
The next day, suddenly, the door of the crafts workshop was struck down and the butcher flew out in a raging berserk. He killed one of our woodworkers before we managed to take him down. It seems that he was mad after a failure on what he was working on. This is a real tragedy and a terrible loss to us all.
13th Opal 224
The beginning of this winter was catastropthic. We've run out of alcohol due to a shortage of barrels and while the same were in construction several dwarfs died from suffocation in the river. I don't know what happened but some say they were running from some river monster. There are only 16 of us and too much work. We hope for some immigrants soon.
