40d:Sculpture garden
Revision as of 19:00, 16 August 2008 by Spoggerific (talk | contribs) (Updated current version number, as it's still true as of this edit; also noted that you can cancel parties.)
A sculpture garden is a room defined from a statue. They act as meeting places for dwarves and tame animals, who tend to gather at sculpture gardens. Occasionally an idle dwarf will host a party at the statue, and dwarves who attend will have a chance to make friends.
In the current versionv0.28.181.39f, setting up a public sculpture garden is not generally recommended, as having one will cause dwarves to waste much more time holding parties, which while annoying, can be canceled (see party page). However, setting up private gardens for individual dwarves who work far away from the main fortress may help improve thoughts and prevent long walks.
