I used these raws to test the behavior of DF's colors - it turned out that most of the "discoveries" I made were already listed at color, but the raws are still useful for experiments sometimes. I accidentally kept them in the raw/objects folder once when generating a world, so I have a fortress with a bunch of STONE_240 furniture. (Worldgen structures also use these stones - fairly often, in fact, since I copied the raws from microcline. I ran across a human buried in a STONE_710 coffin in a tomb, surrounded by statues and traps made from various other colorful stones. I have yet to run across a dwarf with a preference for one, however.)

Notes[edit]

  • Objects with one color, like blocks, ignore the background color - for example, blocks made of STONE_550 and STONE_541 look the same as blocks made of STONE_500.
  • Objects with [INVERTED_TILE], like minecarts, use the material's foreground color without brightness as the background color. STONE_550 and STONE_551 minecarts appear identical. However, if the material's foreground color is between 8 and 15, the color does include brightness. (Turns out this was on the color page all along...)
  • Objects made of STONE_000 appears the same as STONE_001; however, unmined STONE_000 is completely black.
