40d:Why are crops sometimes displayed with red writing

Because it is too late in the season to plant that kind of crop. There is also a bug that causes it to happen for plump helmets late in the winter even though they're supposed to grow year-round.

Might it be related to temperature? I've seen that in some places, but I don't think I see it in all places. --Corona688 14:49, 2 November 2008 (EST)

The game doesn't check year wraparound. Crops that grow in Winter Spring get the red if there's not enough growing time left in winter before spring. Crops that grow in Spring Summer Winter Fall and have a growing time of over a year can't be planted any time because at the end of winter it decides there's not enough time left instead of checking spring. --Rkyeun 16:38, 2 November 2008 (EST)
