v0.31:Syndrome
A syndrome is an acquired trait a hapless creature might get through encountering certain creatures or extracts. They generally cause unpleasant or even fatal Template:L on creatures over varying time scales, and will usually clear up on their own eventually. A Template:L may be able to diagnosis and prescribe treatment to help a dorf deal with illness.

Acquired: Direct skin contact with a Template:L
Long Term Symptoms:
- Mild Pain
- Mild Blisters
Cave Floater Sickness
Acquired: Expelled from a Template:L both in defense and if punctured.
Short Term Symptoms:
- Mild Nausea
Long Term Symptoms:
- Fever
Delayed Long Term Symptoms:
- Strong Drowsiness
- Strong Dizziness
Cave Spider Bite
Acquired: Being Bitten by a Template:L
Chronic Symptoms:
- Very mild dizziness
Giant Cave Spider Bite
Acquired: Being bitten by a Template:L
Short Term Symptoms:
- Complete paralysis (this by itself is harmless... now the spider on the other hand...)
Gnomeblight
Acquired: Inhaled, injected, or contact with the extract Template:L... but only if you happen to be a Template:L or a Template:L.
Long Term Symptoms:
- Severe systemic necrosis (This is a death sentence)
Giant Desert Scorpion Sting
Acquired: Being stung by a Template:L
Long Term Symptoms:
- Intense necrosis of the nervous system (causing permanent paralysis)
Helmet Snake Bite
Acquired: Being bitten by a Template:L.
Short Term Symptoms:
- Minor Bleeding
Long Term Symptoms:
- Fever
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Localized intense swelling, oozing, and bruising of the wound
- Strong pain
- Intense localized necrosis (loss of limb possible)
Iron Man Cough
Acquired: Expelled by Template:L
Short Term Symptoms:
- Severe cough
- Bleeding (from the cough)
Serpent Man Bite
Acquired: Being bitten by a Template:L
Short Term Symptoms:
- Complete paralysis (Same length and intensity as the giant cave spider's)
