A Road is a path of dirt, stone or other material that makes it easier for people and wagons to travel.

A 3-tile wide flat road is necessary for human trade caravans to reach your trade depot. This can be done with stone blocks. The road also has to reach any edge of your land. Any bridges that are also flat and 3-tiles wide will count as a road for the trade caravan's purpose. You do not need a road to recieve yearly trades from dwarven traders.

You can make a road out of dirt, which takes little time to make but will be gone after a year. A rough road can be made with regular stone. Roads can also be made of wood.
