screenshot of my 40d13 game with Garnierite and Kimberlite in Obsidian if you want.)

Riff - First, it's a common mistake, but whenever possible the data in the wiki comes from the game files and the game code itself - specifically "raw/objects/matgloss_stone_mineral", in this case. In 40d, that is clear - garnierite is found only in gabbro, end of discussion. Now, two things are also true and need be considered - first, 40d13 is not (yet) the "current version". Further, your personal observation of one instance does not mean that it is "normal" - might be a bug, might be the obsidian in a gabbro layer around a magma vent, might be a lot of things; unless it can be reproduced and confirmed by others, it's not in. (That's why we have "discussion" pages, to cover stuff like that - you see something that seems waaay off in an article, never a bad idea to bounce it off the community before altering to fit your personal perception.) However, it's quite possible that the RAW file has in fact been changed in d13 - if that's the case, then that's good enough on its own, if and when d13 becomes "current version" (and that won't be the only change, no doubt!). Until then, we stick with the RAW files for the "current version", 40d, sorry.--Albedo 07:25, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

All 40d# versions are functionally identical to 40d in every way that is related to gameplay. 40d# versions are just graphics display optimizations. VengefulDonut 03:47, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
I thought d13 had introduced "burrows", among other changes. Regardless, Riff withdrew his suggestion as an acknowledged misperception.--Albedo 07:13, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
