A thought occurs: you have a hydra, a handful of lowly recruits, a remote mineshaft, and three hefty bulwarks to defend your fortress. Do megabeasts have some sort of timer, much like sieges, until they simply leave? The one I'm dealing with stops chasing dwarves or animals and goes to an exploratory mine I set up at the edge of the map to just... sit in one of the tunnels, idly (and it's been there for quite a while). --[[User:Bronzebeard|Bronzebeard]] 03:25, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
