Oh, and just in case anyone was wondering, they can in fact steal artifacts. I'd be fascinated to know what the game does with the artifact in terms of stored data. Somewhere out there there's a raccoon waving an artifact microcline scepter. Must impress all his other furry buddies. [[User:RedKing|RedKing]] 02:08, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Raccoon AI combined with my traditional early defense system generates a kind of 'entrance dance' for raccoons. Normally I dig straight down near the wagon and declare the stairs a meeting area. Raccoons come to steal things from the wagon but notice the swarms of dogs and back away. They do this dance where they keep coming back until they... well, what I imagine is they notice their stealth wore off, and they run away to try again. But they didn't get close enough for the dog to chase them, because the dogs are parked under other swarms of dogs and dwarves in a pile of prone critters. So the raccoon come back, and gets a little closer each time. ARE RACCOONS TRAINING STEALTH? And then it -finally- after a season or two manages to get close enough it actually bumps into a dog. I end up cheering cynically for the raccoon as it inches closer. "C'mon, c'mon, you can do it! Go raccoon! You can do it! You can do it! AWWWWWWW..." Then the dog tears it to shreds. --[[User:Rkyeun|Rkyeun]] 03:59, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
