If there is something you are sure is no longer true about the current version, even if it was true in the past, feel free to delete it entirely. We want to maintain a timeless and current feel for the wiki, so bugs and quirks that are over with aren't something anyone needs to know (unless they are really funny) [[User:VengefulDonut|VengefulDonut]] 01:11, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

::When you want to tag something with a version number, please use [[template:version]]. This will automatically include it in a category so that when a new version comes out we have available links to all potentially outdated information. When tagging something with the current version, you can use the <nowiki>{{subst:current}}</nowiki> shortcut rather than typing out the version number. I'm an absolute twit; It *was* in gabbro, i forgot that gabbro looks exactly like obsidian. *doh*. [[User:Riffraffselbow|Riffraffselbow]] 01:23, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

It's still dependent on frame rate. Some people have Really slow framerates when paused (or fast) depending on things. I play at 200 FPS normally because I find it more [[fun]]. So, it only passes in a second or so. Your framerate can be Really low while paused though (this is uncommon and usually means you're also doing things that are causing it to drop Really low. And it also means that it'd be EVEN lower while playing DF. I put the at 100 FPS because the change that was made really left it too vague and leaving it at "at 2 seconds" would be like a slap in the face, because it is dependent on framerate, and framerates can vary. [[User:Shardok|Shardok]] 09:59, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

:That doesn't quite make sense - the framerate depends on the processing ability of the CPU and when paused there is not much to process. The FPS should always cycle up to the max then unless you put the limit pointlessly high. If it was 2 secs at 100 it should be 1 sec at 200, which it clearly isn't. --[[User:Birthright|Birthright]] 12:09, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

::So i just did some testing and no matter what the FPS is, unpaused or with q menu, thers no diff at all between 10FPS and 200. Yes, i happen to have a moody dwarf right now. ;) --[[User:Birthright|Birthright]] 12:44, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

:::Are you referring to the FPS while paused? Or do you mean the FPS while unpaused?[[User:Shardok|Shardok]] 19:34, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

::::Both actually. I tested this with fortresses that actually run at those speeds unpaused as well as with limiting the cap to the according FPS. --[[User:Birthright|Birthright]] 15:14, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
