I generally prefer a horizontally oriented fortress, because dwarves have an annoying habit of tripping and falling. With the exception of a few off-lying military towers, most of my fortress is contained inside of three stories. --[[User:Cypress|Cypress]] 19:57, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
