Alcohol is the favored drink of Template:L, without which they become Template:L. Many dwarves have a favorite drink. Thoughts also imply that dwarves like to have some variety in what they drink. Dwarves will have only preferences for the 4 types of alcohol made from underground crops until they come in contact with drinks from above ground plants.

Acquiring Alcohol for your Dwarves

There are three methods of acquiring alcohol, only two of which may be done after one has embarked.

Consequences of a Sober Fortress

As dwarves are highly dependent on alcohol, a lack of booze over a prolonged period of time will result in a slow-down in almost every aspect of them. For this reason, a steady supply of alcohol is highly recommended for any attempts at a productive fort.
