Just a thought, shouldn't the materials to create said trap be listed here as well? I'd do it myself, but I came here to find out what they are... Dorque 02:59, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

It is "kind" of said - carpenter makes stuff out of wood, metal worker makes stuff out of metal. I do see your point however. --Djsmiley2k 16:07, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

How can I Release the trapped creature out of the animal trap? Does it depends if the creature is tame? Codito Ergo Est 02:34, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Build the cage somewhere - b,j choose location then x to choose the correct cage. - Once built, you can unassign the animal from the cage, freeing it. --Djsmiley2k 16:07, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Unusual production[edit]

I've just had a child create an artifact trap during a fey mood in un-modded/hacked 0.31.25. He built it from bone at a craftsdwarf shop and, of course, became a legendary bonecarver. I mention it simply because it doesn't match the labor nor workplace stated in the article, but am hesitant to include it in the main text as, being what I assume is a special instance, it probably has zero practical value for most visitors to the page. 86.131.89.126 00:31, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

Makes sense that it happened as it did, I guess, since it was made of bone. If anywhere, I'd make a note on the Legendary artifact page, as you said mentioning it here is probably pointless. --Timrem 08:48, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
