::: Blacksmithing is a labour-preference, categorized along with weaponsmithing, metalcrafting, etc, under metalsmithing. dwarfs can be metalsmiths. i r confused, but it does seem as if the article has it backwards: high-level blacksmiths are called metalsmiths?

Color me confused, too.  The article says "A dwarf whose highest skill is "metalsmith" will have the Blacksmith profession."  But then on the sidebar, it says "Profession: Metalsmith".  So what does the word "profession" mean here? --[[User:Greycat|Greycat]] 23:34, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

Metalsmith

This page seems to be wrong. The skill is actually "Metalsmith" in game. There is no "Blacksmith" skill in DF2010 -- Turkwise 20:35, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

It was probably put on a separate page in order to distinguish it from the Metalsmith profession. --Quietust 21:01, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
