40d Talk:Path

From Dwarf Fortress Wiki

"Pathing decisions in certain areas can be weighted by a player by
designating high, low or restricted Traffic areas. Careful use of
traffic areas has been known to improve framerate by reducing pathing load."

How do you do this?--Mrdudeguy 07:48, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Um... there's a link for the word Traffic - follow that.--Albedo 11:28, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Also does chaining animals improve framerate?--Mrdudeguy 07:49, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Not as much as it might, because they still have 8 squares they can path to (or fewer, depending where they're chained). Pathing to 1 other square is still pathing. See breeding -> "Pens"--Albedo 11:28, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
