(Sorry for taking that long, pals.)

Spring(whatever this word means there)[edit]

The first thing I've noticed is this:

1st granite champ.PNG

Do you see those three happy bastards in upper right corner. The Champions wrestlers. Free-loaders. They won't do anything but train. And they are useless at fight with real enemies. Perhaps, they treated this unwelcome outpost as some kind of monastery.. The second thing is this:

1st granite furniture.PNG

our stocks are full with furniture. And there are more tables-thrones-statues coming. I ordered all cabinets to be placed in the living rooms.

4th granite[edit]

Deler Aknunkivish, planter has given birth to a boy.

9th granite[edit]

Siege operator organized party at felsite table. Our stocks are crammed with statues but poor dwarves should dance around tables pretending they are happy with that. Something needs to be done.

17th felsite[edit]

Elven caravan has arrived. Momuz is too busy to deal with them 'cause he is partying and sleeping all the time

19th felsite[edit]

A strange accident. Tosid Nitigkadol, guard has bled to death

19th guard death.PNG

no one seems to know what happened.

20th felsite[edit]

Our fortress defence is very poor. I ordered some cage-traps to be built. But apparently we have no cages. Mechanic is wandering around telling everyone we have no cages.

5th slate[edit]

Rigoth Tosidmozir has become a legendary champion!

7th slate[edit]

Another strange accident.

7th slate.PNG

Ingish Kadollilar, wrestler has suffocated. Well, at least he won't become champion.

8th slate[edit]

Momuz finally came to trade with elves. Those pointy-eared bastards brought nothing, but a stack of clothes. Momuz seized all their goods. They will think twice before bothering us with such a crap. Right after that Momuz reported he is trader now.

12th slate[edit]

A bunch of migrants has arrived. Mostly peasants. They sure think this is some kind of monastery built far away from civilization.

Summer[edit]

8th hematite[edit]

Mayor has ended his mandate to make fine pewter items and imposed ban on export of armor stands. We will reluctantly obey his orders.

10 hematite[edit]

Struck pitchblende. The ore of Uranium.

12th - 17th hematite[edit]

Human caravan has arrived. They've brought wood! A lot of it. Momuz traded dwarven junk for wood and cages(so that mechanic can stop wining about lack of cages) and was immediately elected mayor then. Dwarves sure missed wood.

22th hematite[edit]

The cages we've bought were full with dead animals. Happy buther came out to spill some dead animal blood.

2nd malachite - peasant taken by mood

3rd malachite[edit]

Some lost goblins ambushed us. But human guards taught them a lesson.

5th malachite ambush.PNG

8th malachite[edit]

One of our peasants has created Orshar Osresh

8th malachie art.PNG

I immediately placed it as a lever to our statue garden so that every dwarf can admire it.

8th malachite lever.PNG

The perfect lever is controlling thee excellent gears via six good mechanisms. The whole machine does nothing though.

20th malachite[edit]

The magma is moving too slow. We cannot wait for it to reach our smelters.

20th malachite magma.PNG

We decided to build another group of smelters closer to the source of magma.

24th malachite[edit]

Another wave of migrants. Just seven of them. There are 95 dwarves in total.

27th malachite[edit]

We've got a copper deposit right next to our new smelter system. This will greatly speed up metalworks.

27th malachite copper.PNG

10th galena[edit]

The magma level beneath new smelters is too low( Smelters are blinking as magma level changes between 3 and 4. It is impossible to smelt anything here.

Autumn[edit]

10th limestone[edit]

We've struck cassiterite! Now we can afford making bronze items.

21st limestone[edit]

Dwarven caravan has arrived. Traded our junk for wood, cages, barrels and anvils.

22nd limestone[edit]

another ambush. I wander what are they looking for? Goblins have brought one macedwarf and one marksdwarf. Still no casualties among us - dwarven merchants dealt with 'em. Snow covered with mixed vomit, goblin and dwarven blood - what a good look!

22th Ambush2.PNG

27th sandstone[edit]

More migrants. 105 Dwarves in total.

3rd timber[edit]

Olon Ikaloddom has created something really interesting. Praise him!

Dog bone axe.PNG

12th timber[edit]

It appears the magma is going back. It evaporates too fast. We decided to remove all new smelters (probably they are the cause). It is necessary to make magma channel broader.

Winter[edit]

5th moonstone[edit]

Zuntir Alatsarek, Champion has given birth to a boy.

26th moonstone[edit]

We couldn't connect new magma channels to the source with channeling from above because there is an aquifier up there. So we decided to dig directly through warm stones. Unfortunately magma pressure was too high - and Feb Fikodvoval was poured with magma and immediately burned to ashes. Rest in peace, Feb. On a good side we have additional magma tunnel. It should solve problems with magma flow.

15th opal[edit]

All our barrels are filled with plants and prepared meals. Brewers refuse to brew 'cause they have no barrels. Cooking drinks is now forbidden. I've designated two of four fields to lie fallow.

18th opal fields.PNG

End of the year[edit]

Nothing special happened. We have pop > 100 now - therefore the probability of fun is increased. Notes for the next overseer: 1) As soon as the secondary magma tunnel is filled - connect it to the primary channel. 2) Mayor has one mandate and one demand. Both are easy to satisfy. We have all needed materials.
