How reclaim forest retreats, dark fortress and towns?--93.77.222.197 05:25, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

In vanilla DF you can only reclaim fortresses, including player fortresses, no matter what race you play as. But DFHack has an option that allows you to embark anywhere, even in the middle of places such as the ones you listed. When choosing a location of your new fortress, open the embark options menu with s, and then enable "embark anywhere" by clicking a. Close the menu with Esc, and you can now embark anywhere you want. -- DarklingArcher (talk) 17:15, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Barrels not emptying on unretire??[edit]

@Untrustedlife: Can you provide the circumstances where you got pots/barrels not getting emptied? A quick retire-unretire on 44.12 fort shows they still do for me: https://i.imgur.com/NknbytJ.png

Bastiongate (here: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=151419.msg6309819#msg6309819) had an example of reclaiming restoring wild animal pops, can you confirm the depleted pops no longer reappear?
