v0.31 Talk:Justice

From Dwarf Fortress Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Despite having an unlocked, beautiful jail with the chains marked for justice (and a few random cages in open areas marked for justice too), my fortress guard feels that they should use their bronze and steel weapons to beat the former Captain who destroyed a trade depot while he was having a bad day. The only way I could get them to "Cage Animal" was to kick them out of the squad. Bug I assume? Aussiemon 05:29, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

You might not want to use justice! Use justice if you want to end up with starving prisoners on chains or in cages 0.31.18Currently supply prisioner demand orders will be ignored after a month or two. Beside that there is no relevant disadvantage in happieness if you dont put your dwarfes into a jail. The only disadvantage will be that they are goin to starve or die from dehydration. Just a warning to save you 3 hours of gaming.

Noble Requirements[edit]

Noble requirements must be wrong/have changed, as I have no sheriff and no captain of the guard and still have "Justice" in "status". Nobles I do have are: ExpLeader, Manager, ChiefMedDoc, Broker and Bookkeeper (and a total of 49 dwarfs).--Juanm313 15:43, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Bad beatings going untreated?[edit]

So I've had two dwarves beaten for Violation of Production Order. Not really a big deal, but they've both ended up in the hospital, and months years later they are still there. I wouldn't complain, except that they are almost completely untreated — they have several broken bones that require suturing, setting, dressing, immobilization, et cetera. I have several qualified dwarves who have been idling to no avail. I do have a Chief Medical Dwarf, but the most he's done so far is cleaning the two, and evaluating one.
I do have ample medical supplies; nearly 165,000 thread, 140,000 cloth, 15 splints, 15 crutches, 2,400 powder for casts, 15 buckets, and 1,700 soap currently in the hospital zone. I also have twelve beds and twelve traction benches, with an equal amouht of tables beside the beds. All of my medical dwarves do have all of their medical labors enabled.
I have seen this issue on the bug tracker, but I can't find any quick fixes, and I would like to see these two back in action. Any help? ~Valthero 20:47, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
