v0.34 Talk:List of creatures by adult size

Created this by making a program to read the raws, and I'm neither a coder nor a modder, so I anticipate errors. If you post about errors in here, I bet I can modify my script and correct the errors more easily than you can correct them all.
Not sure about animalmen and the "size gravitates" effect they've got going on; I just averaged size with the 70k they gravitate to for my script. If anybody has better info, let me know, and I'll correct. -- Vasiln 06:33, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- Why does every line include formatting information? The 'class="wikitable"' at the top covers the formatting of the entire table, all that extra code is just taking up space. Also, I don't think a "List of creatures by adult size" is needed at all, since DF2012:Creature has a sortable table with adult size as a column (this page does have the data for other stages of creature development, but then the page should probably just be "List of creatures by size"). You've done a nice job making this, just wanted to add my two cents here. --Timrem 09:07, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- "Gravitate" simply divides the specified size by the normal adult size and then multiplies all body sizes by that factor. --Quietust 12:58, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, issues addressed. I believe page serves a small unduplicated function (redlink from bridge, replaces out of date info that was on the pressure plate page) but I agree that its usefulness is pretty narrow, and I certainly wouldn't cry if anybody deleted it, especially if complete sortable info was available elsewhere. --Vasiln 18:46, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
