I like this, you could almost just give this to a new player with instructions to "do all this, top to bottom", resulting in a fortress that won't fall within minutes. I hope you add a few small pointers to the horizontal priority (as in, make things on the left absolutely vital and things on the right nearly optional), but otherwise this is a very solid guide to starting a healthy fortress. --[[User:Cirno(9)|Cirno(9)]] 22:21, 16 August 2010 (UTC) | I like this, you could almost just give this to a new player with instructions to "do all this, top to bottom", resulting in a fortress that won't fall within minutes. I'll work on this a bit more, but I thought that I'd post it here as it can be helpful. --Bongotastic 12:41, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Farming issues[edit]
Good chart but needs to be updated for how DF2010 handles agriculture, i.e. surface farming is *far* easier than underground. Maybe something like a new chain [gather plants]->[enclosed farming area]->[surface plot]->[prickle berry or wild strawberry].
Just excellent work here.[edit]
