Grate or other protection?[edit]
I have had trouble with magma men and other monsters coming up through channels. Can you build anything between the channel and the smelter or workshop and still have everything work? I was thinking of a floor grate or something. --GarrieIrons 11:01, 9 June 2008 (EDT)
- You should be able to build a floor grate there, I can't imagine why you wouldn't be able to. If not, then you could always station your barracks outside the smelter, just in case. --AlexFili 11:23, 9 June 2008 (EDT)
- Personally, I seal off the magma tube with a floodgate. --Savok 12:53, 9 June 2008 (EDT)
- Just to make it clear - it was monsters not the magma which was the problem. I worked out that the workshops always have the same layout so I demolished it, built a floor where the channel was, built a channel where the workshop would cover it up, and the problem is gone now.
- ie for a magma glass smelter built the channel where the - is below:
