+ | ::Thanks. Since a month ago, I done some reading on the forum about modding. It seems that the goblins have to have access to them somewhere. Could the recruit have killed the Troll had the other two dwarves not fought it? Maybe, maybe not, it's all random. But in the end, you still lost 2, maybe 3, dwarves to a Troll. Random. I wasn't sure where else to put this...
Will a building destroying creature damage constructed walls/stairs/ramps/etc?
Or will a simple one width wall stop any damage to your fort?
--Lordmick134 11:35, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
- I did some testing with a bronze colossus -- it looks like building-destroyers ignore walls and fortifications. They are also blocked by a one-tile channel. Anydwarf 12:06, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
No bones?[edit]
Article says N/A for bones and other things. Does this mean that trolls leave no corpse or that it cannot be used after it rots?– unsigned comment by Someone-else
- It means that you can't butcher the corpse to get shit from it. It's size 9, though, so I assume it leaves nine bones. --GreyMario 20:26, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
- Hypothetically, you could butcher them if you slaughtered them as livestock, but they're not pets or pet_exotics so you can't tame them in order to do so. --JT 20:39, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
So, why can't we add a parameter to the template to make it say "rotting leaves", so we can actually give information to the people reading the articles? Anydwarf 21:47, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
- Yes, this would be a good thing. While the article doesn't state "Their bones are valuable, but you can't get them" usage of the word "although" suggests that. --Someone-else 07:34, 22 April 2008 (EDT)
- OK, I edited the template. I still don't know about the bones, somebody who does will need to add that. Anydwarf 14:49, 22 April 2008 (EDT)
- Rhesus macaques are size 3 and leave three bones. Therefore, trolls are size 9 and thus leave nine bones. --GreyMario 17:13, 22 April 2008 (EDT)

Hard?[edit]
I had just started a new game and saw there was a chasm on the map with a few skeletal ratmen, naked mole dogs and one skeletal troll. Once again, i had just started out, so my only means of fighting these monsters was with recruits (wrestlers) and they seemed to kill that troll pretty fast. I only have a couple deaths but now the troll is dead. Am i super lucky or are trolls less tough then they are supposed to be?
- There's always a good bit of chance in fighting any enemy. I've had Dwarves die to a random horse that wandered into my fortress, actually, I think I lost 3 dwarves that way, even after recruiting my entire fortress to attack it. This was in a fortress of a good 40 people, and I even had a strong military who lost 2 of their dwarves at first before I sent more to attack.
