This article is about an older version of DF.

A captured live fish is caught using the "capture live fish" command given at a Template:L. A Template:L with the Template:L labor will then attempt to catch a Template:L live using an available Template:L. The fish will then be placed into an available Template:L. Unlike normal fishing, which will be done at any suitable location, the "capture live fish" command will only capture fish from an explicitly designated Template:L - if no such zones are defined, the dwarf will simply pick up the animal trap and stand still.

Captured Template:Ls and Template:Ls can then be used as Template:Ls. However, a captured Template:L is also used to make five units of Template:L using the Template:L's "extract from live fish" command as well as being a Template:L candidate. This Template:L can now be used for Template:L and Template:L.

Note: A constructed Template:L can not be used unless it is deconstructed. (q->x).
