Ore for one of the most valuable metals available, equal in value to Template:L and second only to Template:L. Its high material value makes it a convenient material for high value rooms for nobles. Especially so, since mining it still leaves a valuable platinum floor.
Template:L can occur in veins inside bodies of Template:L and as small cluster within Template:L. The veins from magnetite specifically can extend far outside the magnetite they originate from and the vein may even be interrupted at the magnetite cluster border. Although the raw entries for native platinum indicate that it appears as veins within olivine, a bug causes it to only appear in small clusters, even in the absence of Template:L.v0.28.181.40d
It is possible to make Template:Ls or Template:L with Platinum nuggets if it's enabled in the z-status stone menu, resulting in quite valuable items, good for export early in the game.
Although Template:L metal is Template:L, platinum nuggets are not.
