So, since there's no discussion on this page, I'll space-fill with something I was thinking about last night.

Let's say we embark with nothing but dwarves and the wagon.

I'm reasonably certain wood cannot be used to build any furnace building. They require fire-safe materials. Wood is not. --Squirrelloid 18:55, 9 March 2009 (EDT)
