This article is about an older version of DF.

Plaster powder is produced at a Template:L or Template:L from Template:L, Template:L, Template:L or Template:L and an empty Template:L. The production of plaster powder requires the Template:L skill. It is used in the production of Template:Ls, an item used by doctors to immobilize the broken bones of injured dwarves.

To store it in a hospital, create a stockpile with furniture/siege ammo enabled, then select "boxes and bags" under type. Also select the material your bags are made from like cloth and/or leather (or just permit all materials). Don't forget to permit all qualities too. If you made a similar stockpile near your kiln to supply it with empty bags you'll likely discover that it contains bags filled with plaster too. The "Sand Bag" option (toggled with u) does not affect plaster bags.

Gypsum plaster is listed under "stones" but you don't need to have this selected (as it normally only appears in-game inside of bags).

It should be noted that even with a stockpile of plaster bags right in the middle of your hospital zone the hospital info page still lists that none is present. Obviously it should be stored inside containers like cloth, thread, crutches and splints but this is bugged.
