Does anyone have a clarification for this:

"Furthermore, only bars, blocks, stone, logs, and anvils can be recognized as magma-safe - all other item types are considered unsafe, even if they are made of magma-safe materials."

This caused a lot of confusion for a newbie on reddit. I think it's trying to say that things like tables that are dumped into magma instantly disintegrate, as can be shown with nethercap items (haven't tested this myself). But it just seemed very out of place and at least needs a lot of context if it's to be added back in.

The page on ash says that it is magma safe, but it doesn't seem to be listed on the table of magma safe materials on this page.
