SHOW_ALL_HISTORY_IN_DWARF_MODE[edit]
This version of Dwarf Fortress does not have the SHOW_ALL_HISTORY_IN_DWARF_MODE, but it's possible to hack the executable to enable it all the time. By editing dwarfort.exe and changing the byte at adddress 0x0A209E from 00 to 01, floor/wall engraving details will become visible in Fortress mode. Changing the bytes at address 0x17ABED from 0F 94 C1 51 to 90 90 6A 01 accomplishes the same thing when viewing the descriptions of decorated items, especially artifacts. There are a few other spots where item descriptions are displayed, but they may be specific to Adventurer mode or Legends mode. --Quietust 18:58, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
