Commas[edit]

"You can also create a large fat stockpile on the surface, in hopes that some of it will be carried off in place of much more valuable items by flying thieves (such as kea)."

Commas set-off non-essential elements at the end of a sentence. To determine if the element is non-essential, we ask whether

"You can also create a large fat stockpile on the surface."

adequately conveys the original meaning of the sentence. It does not; all justification for why the player might choose to create such a stockpile has been removed. Like a trailing "because" clause, a comma would only be warranted if the sentence was potentially confusing without it.--Loci (talk) 19:30, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
