DF2014 Talk:Stockpile
This may be better put on the forums, but if there is a way to cycle through, or list, all Stockpiles in the fort I think it should be mentioned here. Even a DF-Hack way to cycle through them all (either in a list or visually going from pile #1 to #2 to #3... etc.) would be helpful to new people. I am certain there is a way to search for or cycle through all stockpiles, since many of the stories or video-plays show the player deftly managing these piles. It could be the players have a good memory of where they are and what they do, but I doubt anyone can keep track of all those piles. Also nice would be description of a "delete all stockpiles" which can work over a larger area than the 31x31x1 area that p-x works. (I periodically forget what stockpiles are where, and kinda like them being low numbers rather than skipping... that's a personal OCD problem though.) 174.22.47.63 16:07, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
Wood[edit]
quote: Note that traders consider amount of wood in stockpile to judge whether to bring logs for trade or not and in case of elves, amount of wood you logged.
problem: This does not make it clear whether having more wood in your stockpile results in traders bringing less or more wood; whether having logged more trees results in Elves bringing less or more wood.– unsigned comment by 173.54.231.197
- It is presumably referring to the "emergency supplies" logic for caravans, which will bring logs if your fortress has less than one log per dwarf on site (presence in a stockpile is irrelevant). To my knowledge, elves don't care how many logs you have on hand, just whether you've abided by their tree-cutting quota. I will clarify the statement in the article.--Loci (talk) 23:37, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
usable?[edit]
There is no preference for specific body parts, but usable/unusable armor may be specified.
Is it just armor or all wear, and what usable means?
