Wheres the Diplomat?[edit]

The Manual: Icons– Dwarves / Professions

Why's the diplomat not have a Unit type token? Or is this an oversight? Jecowa (talk) 04:04, 9 February 2025 (UTC)

The "Diplomat" entry in that image dates back to the very oldest versions of Dwarf Fortress - it was there in 0.23.130.23a, and back then Diplomat was a profession rather than a position (because positions didn't exist back then). --Quietust (talk) 04:13, 9 February 2025 (UTC)

Color sorting[edit]

token
color
data-sort-value
4:0 01X
4:1 02X
6:0 03X
6:1 04X
2:0 05X
2:1 06X
3:0 07X
3:1 08X
1:0 09X
1:1 10X
5:0 11X
5:1 12X
0:0 13X
0:1 14X
7:0 15X
7:1 16X

This is how I sorted the colors, for anyone trying to decipher it.

  • If unit is civilian, replace "X" with "1".
  • If unit is military, replace "X" with "2".
  • If unit is @ at sign, replace "X" with "3".

There's no black units, but if there ever are, there's a number for them. Jecowa (talk) 05:58, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
