This page is an attempt to gather as many tests as passble.

the test:
Set up a group of dwarfs axe vs wrestler(5 each) arming the wrestler with shields. Every dwarf was object was made of iron. Everybody was completly untrained.
result: the shield dwarfs won. 2 shield dwarfs died. Other 3 had only minor injuriues.
Check: The test was repeated. But with each wrestler now having 2 shields.
Result: The axe dwarfs all died and the shields were all untouched.
variation: Same setup but having everybody at master.
result: shield dwarfs won and were untouched no axe dwarfs left.
