You asked if there was a way to hide text?
An easy method would be to use the Game Data template.
Just stick {{Game Data| at the top of a year or season, and }} at the end of said year/season.
It requires good use of <br> however, since there is no automatic textwrapping otherwise.
I noticed 99% of the game history doesn't use <br> regularly.
