v0.31 Talk:Liaison

Incorrect[edit]

My liaison got killed during his first visit and six years have passed with no replacement, drawing question to the validity of the information on the article. I've also heard from people who have not had replacements for their liaisons over four or more years. --Bronzebeard 09:49, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

I got a replacement liaison recently. I know because the one we had was killed before he could leave the map after he tried to make us a Barony. We did not become a Barony until his replacement came several years later. I don't know if it helped, but I donated a lot to the caravans, possibly enough that they would've elevated us to a County if we had already been a Barony. Uristocrat 05:06, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Requests[edit]

  • some discussion of the options and keystrokes to move through the liaison announcement pages and what to do would be helpful --Ouro
  • Bargaining is not at all clear to me. I understand that I'm affecting the prices and availability of the items for the next caravan but I'm not sure how and this article didn't really help. My biggest question is when I'm looking at a menu how do I know if I'm bargaining for higher selling prices or for items to buy. If my question doesn't make sense then that's more evidence of my confusion. --WarttHog

Death[edit]

What happens if the liaison dies after making an agreement? Does it still get delivered?--58.122.40.118 01:12, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Liaison screen during pause[edit]

Maybe it's just me, but I have my Liaison interrupting my work while the game is paused. In fact, the length of the meeting seem to run in real time, utterly disregarding if the fort itself is running or not... --Anonymous, 22nd of May 2011

It's not just you, I've had that same thing too. Could be a way to get diplomacy done while your leader is needed to do real work. 121.44.110.206 13:17, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Distance yourself from the homeland[edit]

If you chose the option "Sorry, but we'd rather distance ourselves from the homeland" then no further trade agreements will be made. The liaison will offer again next year. Future caravans will either bring the normal load of random items or default back to the most recent agreement made.
