Is it just me or is this straight out of LOTR? Garanis 14:54, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

If every tentacled, beaked water-creature was an LOTR reference, we'd be missing out on all those squids and cuttlefish we have hanging around in the ocean today. As far as I know, the closest creatures in LOTR were not exactly small, nor were they pack hunters. Chances are it's a coincidence. 67.184.162.45 12:54, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
As far as I know, tentacled monster found in Moria mines actually looked more like a Kraken than a pond grabber.
