I located the code for determining wind strength and made a graph of its output in Excel. Due to bug 6380, the values are only correct for MEDIUM and LARGE worlds.
I also discovered that version 0.28.181.40d used this same formula but did not scale the latitude to fit the range, so non-LARGE worlds would be treated as the top section of a full-sized world (e.g. POCKET worlds would get mostly 40 wind if the ice cap was at the top or no wind at all if it was at the bottom). --Quietust (talk) 18:07, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
