Rock crystal, one of many types of quartz crystals (SiO2), is a type of gem. When combined with pearlash at a glass furnace, it can be used to make crystal glass items. Due to a bug, however, this is currently not functional. v0.31.03 Despite rough rock crystals being available, the game will announce 'Needs glass-making rough gems'. Bug:1498 Binary patches exist for version 0.31.25 on Windows (SDL, Legacy) which fix this bug.
