Dwarven Syrup is made from sweet pods at a farmer's workshop using the "process plants (barrel)" order and the plant processing labor. Five units of dwarven syrup are made from each sweet pod, and one seed per sweet pod will be left over. Dwarven syrup cannot be eaten in its raw state, but can be made into edible food using cooking. As dwarven syrup is a moderately valuable good, a stack of dwarven syrup roasts can have a surprisingly high value, easily into the thousands even with a moderately-experienced cook.

Bugs[edit]
- Cooks will only cook dwarven syrup as a last resort, instead preferring to cook solid ingredients which are stored inside barrelsBug:2393. A workaround for this is to set up multiple stockpiles around the kitchen, with only the stockpile for dwarven syrup set to allow barrels, and ensure that solid cooking ingredients cannot be stored anywhere else. When all other cooking materials are not in barrels, the cooks will use the dwarven syrup along with the other foodstuffs to cook their meals.
